LEIOMYOMA OF THE BREAST

Leiomyoma is the most uncommon benign neoplasm of the breast, if periareolar
lesions are excluded. Since its first description by Strong, in 1913, the authors have
found only 14 cases of this tumours in literature.
A case of leiomyoma of the breast outside the areolar complex is reported in a 33
year-old female.
