CARCINOSARCOMA OF THE BREAST

Carcinosarcoma is a rare form of breast tumor, corresponding to approximately
0,2% of the breast carcinomas. This neoplastic variant was found in a 45 year-old woman attended at the Breast and Gynecology Service of Erasto Gaertner Hospital and
the analysis follows with a case report.
In addition, some histological aspects, therapeutic options and prognostic factors
of this rare neoplasm are discussed, based on the specific literature and on the medicai
team experience.
