Nódulo de mama Correlação clínica, epidemiológica e anatomopatológica
Abstract
The authors studied 308 patients who attended the Mastology Ambulatory of INAMPS, Florianópolis, between September 1985 and September 1988, who either complained or presented signs of mamary nodules at the phisical examination.
Epidemiological aspects, clinical characteristics and propaedeutical methodology were analised, correlating the findings with the definitive diagnosis.
The benign disease predominated, mainly dysplasia of the breast. The malignant tumors were more frequent over the age of 40 years and in multiparous women, the majority of then being classifield as stage III, according to TNM stading system of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO).
