Relação entre a expressão imunoistoquímica da proteína HER-2 e os estádios de cânceres de mama e o status dos linfonodos

Foram estudados 59 casos de carcinomas de mama (estádios I = 52,5%; II = 20,4%;
III = 22% e IV = 5,1%). Em 55 casos foi possível o estudo anatomopatológico dos linfonodos: 58,2% livres da neoplasia e 41,8% metastáticos. Em todos os casos avaliou-se a
presença da proteína HER-2: 59,3 negativa (n) e 40,7% positiva (p). Correlacionou-se a
presença da proteína com estádios: est. I = 60% n e 41,7% p; est. II = 17,1% n e 25%
p; est. III = 14,3% n e 33,3% p; e est. IV = 8,6% n e 0% p. A relação com os linfonodos
mostrou: com linfonodos negativos, 65,7% HER-2 n, 45% p e, quando de linfonodos
positivos, 34% não tinham HER-2 e 55% o apresentavam. Conclui-se que há uma certa
relação da presença da proteína HER-2 com fatores prognósticos sombrios, apesar de
esta associação não ser significativa do ponto de vista estatístico.
