RESULTADOS DA CONDUTA NÃO MEDICAMENTOSA (ORIENTAÇÃO VERBAL) PARA TRATAMENTO DA MASTALGIA

Mastalgia é um sintoma altamente prevalente nas mulheres e tem sido tratada com inúmeras substâncias. Neste estudo são apresentados os resultados da conduta não
medicamentosa, baseada em orientação verbal, em 121 mulheres com mastalgia. Utilizandose metodologia original para avaliar a resposta ao tratamento, foi obtido um índice de
sucesso de 70,2% com a orientação verbal, sendo 85,7% nos casos leves, 70,9% nos
moderados e 52,4% nos intensos. Pode-se concluir que a conduta não medicamentosa
deve ser recomendada como primeira opção terapêutica para mulheres com mastalgia,
ficando a alternativa de prescrição farmacológica reservada para casos refratários a essa medida.
