Comprometimento da Axila no Câncer Operável da Mama

Os autores estudaram 500 axilas em portadoras de câncer operável da mama. Todas foram submetidas à cirurgia radical a Halsted. Além da análise das características do grupo e do comprometimento da axila em seus diversos níveis, correlacionaram os achados à idade, tempo de evolução da doença, dimensões e localização do tumor mamário, sua histopatologia, à presença da histiocitose sinusal e ao exame clínico da axila.
