New minimally invasive perspectives in the surgical treatment ofthe breast câncer
Keywords:
Breast cancer, Conservative surgery, RadiofrequencyAbstract
The past century has realized significant and progressive changes in the treatment of
breast câncer. Minimally invasive abiation ofthe primary tumor is possib/e with a variety of
techniques. Aiternatives to traditional surgery for the breast conservation inc/ude steretotactic
excision, cryosurgery, laser abiation and radiofrequency abiation guided by sonography. The
authors describe the current evidences on these techniques.
