CARCINOMA BILATERAL DE MAMA - EXPERIÊNCIA PESSOAL

O autor estuda 11 casos de carcinoma bilateral de mama, que representaram 12,79%
entre todas as pacientes portadoras de tumor em seu Serviço. Seis de tais casos (54,5%)
foram sincrônicos e 5 (45,5%) metacrônicos. A idade média entre todos os tumores bilaterais
foi 59,8 anos, não muito diferente da idade média das pacientes com câncer unilateral. A
presença de antecedente familiar entre as pacientes portadoras de tumor bilateral foi maior do
que as que o possuíam unilateral (45,45% contra 29,33%). А ocorrência de formas lobulares
foi de 36,3% e a de forma multicêntrica foi de 18,18%. Estádios I bilateralmente foram
detectados em 2 casos (18,18%), estádio I contralateral foi descoberto em I caso (9,0%). Em
todas as outras pacientes o tumor se encontrava em estádios II ou mais avançados. Nos casos
detectados em estádios iniciais a mamografia foi de grande valia. A sobrevida dependeu dos
mesmos fatores prognósticos observados nos casos unilaterais.
