A MASTECTOMIA NO TRATAMENTO DO CÂNCER DE MAMA: EXPERIÊNCIA PESSOAL

No período de agosto de 1986 a julho de 1996, 46 pacientes com carcinoma de
mama foram submetidos à mastectomia. Eram 45 do sexo feminino e I do sexo masculino.
A idade variou de 27 a 77 anos (média = 52,1). O estadiamento clínico (UICC 1987) foi:
E. C. I, 5 (10,9%); E. C. II, 26 (56,5%); Е. C. III, 4 (8,7%); E. C. IV, 2 (4,3%); e Tx (biópsia
prévia), 9 (19,6%) рacientes. As cirurgias realizadas foram: Madden, 11 (24%); Patey, 29
(63%); Halsted, 3 (6,5%); e mastectomia com reconstrução imediata, 3 (6,5%). Os
linfonodos axilares estavam comprometidos em 18 casos (39,1%). Quarenta e três pacientes
(93,5%) foram seguidos de 2 a 120 meses. Houve 4 (9,3%) recidivas loco regionais. Trinta
e cinco pacientes (81,4%) estão vivas e sem evidência de doença em atividade.
